The South Taranaki Club has a current membership of just over 2300 & it was formed in 1912. Since its founding, the Club operated from premises in High Street below the water tower. In August 1996, the Club re-located to modern new premises around the corner in Caledonia Street, premises the Club Members are very proud of & which will take us well into the future.
A 12 seater courtesy coach operates for members & guests. To arrange a pick up from a residential address or motel, please call the van driver on 027 2784014.
We have a strong Adjunct sporting section of the Club including, snooker, pool, table tennis, darts, indoor/outdoor bowls, golf, fishing, over 60′s & the South Taranaki Tourers. Each adjunct is rostered on for raffle duty, with the most popular raffle night being Thursday.
For the gambler, the Club offers a selection of 18 gaming machines in the ‘casino room’ which are hooked up to a linked jackpot. For those wishing another type of punt, the Club provides a TAB facility with TV’s to watch the racing action & a TAB betting pod.
The Club’s facilities also comprise of a 70+ seat restaurant, Caledonia. Caledonia, is open from Wednesday to Sunday evenings from 6.00pm with lunchtime meals available also from Wednesday to Saturday. Caledonia provides an excellent meal & selection of wines at very competitive prices. Every Wednesday is “$10 Roast”, served for lunch or dinner.

Entertainment is provided most Friday or Saturday nights. Check the STC Facebook page or the Entertainment & Events listing for upcoming events.
Every Thursday is ‘JACKPOT’ night. The jackpot is drawn on your Club membership card number between the hours of 5.30 & 7.000pm. To win the jackpot, the member must be present at the time of the draw & also have their membership card. If not struck it jackpots by $500 every week to a limit of $3000 which must go within six weeks. Also a “lucky member through the door” prize of $20 is drawn. To enter this, write your name & membership number on the draw sheet at the raffle table. A similar jackpot operates on a Friday evening between 7.00pm & 8.00pm. This one jackpots by $100 every week if not struck to a maximum limit of $1300.
