about South Taranaki Club

The South Taranaki Club has a current membership of just over 2300 & it was formed in 1912.  Since its founding, the Club operated from premises in High Street below the water tower.  In August 1996, the Club re-located to modern new premises around the corner in Caledonia Street, premises the Club Members are very proud of & which will take us well into the future.

A 12 seater courtesy coach operates for members & guests.  To arrange a pick up from a residential address or motel, please call the van driver on 027 2784014.

We have a strong Adjunct sporting section of the Club including, snooker, pool, table tennis, darts, indoor/outdoor bowls, golf, fishing, over 60′s & the South Taranaki Tourers.  Each adjunct is rostered on for raffle duty, with the most popular raffle night being Thursday.

For the gambler, the Club offers a selection of 18 gaming machines in the ‘casino room’ which are hooked up to a linked jackpot.  For those wishing another type of punt, the Club provides a TAB facility with TV’s to watch the racing action & a TAB betting pod.
